Football season is finally here and for us fantasy players, it feels like we’re six again on Christmas. A lot of us are prepping our line ups for Sunday while some of us are even giving fantasy college football a try. If you are anything like me, you will probably change your line up ten times between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Did you know there are still baseball games being played? There are still contests running and like you, the rest of the DFS world has kind of put baseball in the back seat. This happens every year and there is a lot of money to be made because this is baseball overlay season!
It’s that wonderful time of the year to look for baseball games that have that little “G” next to them. The G stands for guaranteed and it pretty much means that doubles-ups are paying the top 60-70% of the field as opposed to 50% because people are too excited about football.
Sure it’s exciting to focus on football season since football is king, but the money in fantasy baseball is as green as it is in football. The majority of people give up on baseball as soon as football starts because let’s face it, it is pretty easy to get burnt out considering how long the season is.
We all like newness and think of how you felt when baseball started. A lot of people kind of gave up on basketball for the same reason. The contest sizes don’t change on Fanduel and Draftkings, rather just the amount of entries do.
For the sake of your bankroll, it is a good idea to keep up with baseball and focus on the games. Get your lineups locked and wait about ten minutes till contests start, especially the DU and 50/50’s.
