Fantasy Aces is a newer site that isn’t taking the “wait and see” attack plan to their marketing. They know that if they want to get the attention of the DFS world they need to offer championships that can compete with their competitors.
So this year they have their $100,000 NFL championship that will be held in Newport Beach! The thing that I really think is awesome is that they are only holding out $800 dollars for flight and hotel accommodations from the prize pool. Not to mention these accommodations include the Saturday night party on a yacht. No offense to the other sites, but taking a 25% rake out of the game and $1,800 for a weekend trip to Vegas is a bit much for my liking. Well played Fantasy Aces!
To get in to this championship, you need to win their qualifier which will run every Sunday starting Sept 7th. This qualifier costs $109 dollars and the Top 25 Players will win cash including the 1st place prize winning a $100k FAFC Seat & Trip (Flight+Hotel + Pre-Party Event + NFL Sunday Championship Party). If you don’t have the bankroll to enter a $109 game then you can enter smaller qualifiers that start as low as five dollars!
Like other sites, they have their salary games that the fantasy world has grown to love. But for football, the way you roster your team is different than other sites. You get to draft two QB’s as well as two flex spots to build your roster. The only con I see to their football game is that they still force you to take a kicker. This may just be personal opinion here, but I don’t think a kicker should factor into winning or losing a GPP. It really sucks when you lose by 2 points and the guy who beat you had a kicker that had five field goals.
They even make their baseball lineups unique by categorizing 1b/3b and 2b/SS as one position. This changes the whole aspect of setting up a baseball lineup because you can find ways of avoiding a infield position all together (like 2B) and rostering two SS.
Fantasy Aces offers a game that they call SalaryPro. This is what truly sets them apart from the other fantasy sites and really forces players to be the most creative (in my opinion). You have your set salary for your team like you would on any other site. The difference is you are awarded +0.1 points for every $50 dollars under the cap. Also, you can go over the salary cap if you believe there is a player you just have to have. But for every $50 over, you are put in a -0.2 point disadvantage. Talk about real life Money Ball! If Billy Bean played DFS, this would be the game for him!
Since Fantasy Aces is relatively new, their player base obviously isn’t nearly as big as some of the other sites out there. But I feel with their football championship, they will grow over the football season. I highly suggest you try and take advantage of the 100k championship while the player pool is at its smallest by signing up today! Use our signup link and get up to a $250 deposit bonus.
