When it comes to DFS NFL, the best time to jump in the mix is right away in week one!
Odds are, Week One will have the most users playing of the whole year.
A lot of the new users are most likely going to play anywhere between $10 to $50 dollars.
They may lose it all and decide that they don’t like DFS, or they may win and still not find it that interesting.
Nevertheless, there are a lot of people who have watched commercials this baseball season and said, “I’m going to give that a try when football season starts.”
When people like this decide it’s time to test the water, that’s when the sharks need take full advantage of the situation.
Most People Think They Are Good At Fantasy Sports
I don’t know about you, but when ever I tell someone about DFS they often reply with, “I should check that out, I always do good in my season long fantasy league.”
Truth be told, a lot of people who play fantasy football (the season long leagues) think they are awesome at it.
But as a seasoned DFS veteran, I know the two games are completely different games.
A lot of people will just pick their favorite three or four players because they think they are awesome or on their favorite team, and not even look into the match up.
Then to make it even worse, they will just take whoever they can at the minimum salary to fill out the rest of their roster.
A stars and scrubs team if you will, even though some of the scrubs they took are just third down backs or blocking tight ends.
But the problem for them is they don’t understand how important the cheaper players are to a DFS roster and think that their studs will be enough to get them through the week.
Just like everything in life, the hype will eventually start to die down and there won’t be as many DFS players about a month into the league.
The Mid-NFL Season DFS Resurgence
But here’s the great thing, a lot of new users will jump back in the DFS games around Week 8 or 10.
This crowd is referred too as the “my season long team is a bust so I want to try something new” people.
Season long injuries or players getting suspended is the main cause for these fantasy players to give up on their season long leagues because they don’t have as great of a team as they once thought.
Then they too will be fascinated with the idea of starting fresh each week.
Does this Mean that DFS Baseball is Dead When the NFL Season Starts?
Are you a serious DFS baseball player?
Well Week One is one of the most important times to start playing DFS baseball as well! (Read: Don’t forget about your friend baseball!)
Especially on Sunday when the league NFL is kicking off because there is so much overlay in all the tournaments many times.
Even people who play DFS baseball don’t want to worry about making a baseball team because they are ready for football!
Then there are the my favorite types of targets which you need to take advantage of, and that is the degenerate.
As much as I hate to say this, but whenever it comes to things like gambling (or many other things) people have issues.
These degenerates won’t know what to do in-between Sundays and will say “hey, I have money in my account, I’ll try playing some baseball.”
Odds are, they know a little bit about baseball because they are sports fan, but they won’t know the ins and outs of DFS, thus giving the everyday DFS player a huge edge!
So My Suggestion to You if You Want to Make Some Serious Money This Year is This
If you are feeling burnt out with baseball and are eager for the NFL season to start, take a break.
This should be the busiest time of year for professionals and aspiring professionals to start playing.
You can dabble in some of the preseason games if you want (and trust me, there is an edge to be gained in those games), but know it’s not like regular DFS.
Give yourself a week or so to start getting ready emotionally to be jamming your DFS studying in because it’s go time WEEK ONE!
